Frequently asked questions

What areas do you service?

We serve Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph, plus more than 20 surrounding towns including Ayr, Baden, Breslau, Conestogo, Elmira, New Hamburg, St. Jacobs and Wellesley. See the full list below — if you don't see your town, give us a call.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Kollegiate Lawn Care is fully licensed and insured, and our applicators pursue continuous education to stay current on the safest, most effective treatments.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We do. We offer a 15-day satisfaction retreat guarantee on our applications, and if insects damage a lawn we have treated, we will reseed or repair the affected area at no charge.

How often will my lawn be treated?

It depends on the program you choose and your lawn's condition. Most season-long programs include several timed visits from spring through fall. We'll recommend a schedule when we provide your free estimate.

When is the best time to start lawn care?

Early spring is ideal for getting ahead of weeds and crabgrass, but lawns benefit from care at any point in the season. Fall is also an excellent time for aeration, overseeding and root-building fertilization.

Is it safe for my children and pets?

Yes, when label directions are followed. We ask that people and pets stay off treated areas until any application has dried, as noted by your technician. If you have specific concerns, let us know and we'll be glad to discuss options.

Do I need to be home for service?

No. As long as we have access to your lawn (and any gates are unlocked), you do not need to be home. We'll leave a notice describing the service performed.

How do I get a quote?

Request a free, no-obligation estimate through our website or call us at 519-742-4770. Tell us a bit about your lawn and we'll get back to you promptly.

How do I pay my invoice?

You can pay your invoice securely online through our Pay My Invoice page, or contact our office to arrange payment.

What is slit-seeding and do I need it?

Slit-seeding mechanically cuts grooves in the soil and drops seed directly in for excellent germination. It's the best way to thicken a thin lawn or repair bare patches — ask us if your lawn is a candidate.
